We are delighted to present the third Behind the Barrel event as part of our exciting pilot series, where you not only get to sample and experience the latest vintages from special wineries in the Pacific Northwest, but also get a peek behind the barrel of the artistry that shapes every vintage of a particular winery. Each event held at Capri Cellars offers an intimate look at a winemaker’s philosophy, passion, and personality via an interactive Q&A—revealing how tradition, innovation, and terroir come together to create wines with true character and soul. Also enjoy complimentary charcuterie and hummus boards, plus a fun opportunity to mix and mingle with fellow wine lovers and the winemaker.

There is a story behind every barrel.  

Join us at Capri Cellars on Wednesday, July 29, 6:00 – 8:00 PM where will go Behind the Barrel with Jesse Lange, Managing Director and Winemaker at Lange Estate Winery & Vineyard, to sip and learn about their wines & Jesse’s personal journey in winemaking.

Jesse Lange, 2nd generation winemaker

Jesse has been farming (hoeing) and winemaking (cleaning) since he was 3 feet tall. His formal training occurred at New Zealand Lincoln University while on a student exchange scholarship from Oregon State in 1999. He rounded out his experience in a Santa Barbara Winery. Jesse officially joined the family business in 2004.
